The 2019 Nevada State Legislative Session is an important opportunity to make an impact on issues of economic and racial justice. We believe now is the time for people of faith to speak up and advocate for the resources and tools we need to address the root causes of poverty and injustice in our state. Our 2019 priorities include:

  • Affordable Housing
  • Homeless Services
  • Raising the Minimum Wage
  • Earned Paid Sick Days
  • Payday Lending
  • Bail Reform

Our goal is to disrupt the status quo in Carson City with a consistent and powerful presence of people of faith and goodwill that drives the public narrative during the 120 days that make up the legislative session.

  • We are mobilizing congregations and community partners for weekly advocacy visits with their elected leaders
  • Creating a rapid response team who can quickly mobilize to give testimony and show of support at important committee hearings
  • Working with partners around the state to ensure we have a powerful voice on Housing & Homeless Awareness Day (Tuesday, March 26th )
